I’m Dr. Nivek Dunne, a clinical psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges with compassion and care.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara, U.S.A., with specialised training in both family and forensic psychology. My work has taken me from hospitals and cancer centers in Ireland and California, to youth treatment programs and even the prison system, where I’ve helped people navigate trauma, loss, and change.
Over the years, I’ve supported clients facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, life transitions etc. What unites my approach is the belief that healing happens best in a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.
In therapy, I draw on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and trauma-informed care, but I always tailor my approach to you as a unique individual. Clients often describe me as warm, attentive, and kind. My goal is simple: to help you find clarity, resilience, hope, and to leave therapy with a greater sense of wellbeing.
